Daily report: The environmental radiation monitoring results for Aomori Prefecture Date: Aug. 5 The Aomori prefectural government has strengthened its monitoring of environmental radiation to determine any environmental impacts from the nuclear accident at the Fukushima Dai-ichi Nuclear Power Station, which is operated by the Tokyo Electric Power Company. No abnormal changes have been found in the airborne radiation levels between 9AM on Aug. 4 and 9AM on Aug. 5. No artificial radioactive nuclides have been detected in the tap water sampled on Aug.4 or in falling matter (rainwater and dust) between 9AM on Aug.3 and 9AM on Aug.4.
